Hank’s Legacy Foundation was created in memory of my first dog Hank. Every animals saved is a tribute to him and his life. Our purpose is to help animals in need through education, shelter, adoption, and community outreach
Hank’s Legacy Foundation was created in memory of my first dog Hank. Hank, a Great Dane, came from a breeder, and we quickly learned the hard lesson of not doing enough research on breeding. Hank developed severe allergies resulting in multiple emergency room visits and eventually daily injections. Our sweet boy grew up in a body that would fail him. His poor health and his poor eye-site caused Hank to live an unsure life. He was constantly nervous and extremely cautious of everything new. After multiple train camps, his aggression grew, and we knew this life wasn’t fair to him. You always hear stories about people and their “heart dogs”, and Hank was mine. Losing him was the most devastating thing, and now I vow to save animals like him. I promised my big goofball that I would fight for the poorly bread animals. I would advocate for stricter training and education. I would save all that I could. Hank’s Legacy foundation is built for the animals that need an advocate in order to save their lives. They need a voice, and we are here to give it to them.
They are an amazing rescue that helps to save many cats from overcrowded shelters such as the Lancaster Shelter in the Antelope Valley and both the East and West Valley LA City Shelters.
I have fostered for numerous rescues. Some good, some not as good. I recently had the pleasure of fostering a litter of bottle puppies for HLF, and was so impressed by them!! They provided for all of my fostering needs quickly and with zero hassle, and they take incredible care of the animals they rescue! I wouldn’t hesitate to foster for them again, and I happily recommend them to friends and family looking to add a furry family member!

I’m happy to be a part of this!
They helped my family find new homes for a litter of puppies. They are a selfless group of people who go above and beyond to help get animals out of neglect. I’m proud of the work they do and continue to do.
This is by far my favorite organization to work with. I first met the ladies of HLF when I fostered a pit bull from a shelter – HLF was there giving out free supplies and advice as a thank you to these new volunteers. My foster ended up being very dog selective and it was difficult to find her a home, but Kate and Sarah were kind enough to spend hours and hours of their time free of charge for a dog who wasn’t event technically in their rescue to help find my foster a good home. I ended up continuing to volunteer with them after my foster was adopted because I enjoyed it so much. Great, selfless group who goes above and beyond to find these dogs and cats homes.
