About Us

Hank’s Legacy Foundation was created in memory of our Founder, Shelby Elrashidy's, first dog Hank. Hank was a back yard bred Great Dane that Shelby lost at just 2 years old. He was her heart dog, and every animal saved is a tribute to him and his life.

Our purpose is to help animals in need through education, shelter, adoption, and community outreach. Animals in our care come to us predominately via rescue from high kill shelters. All of our animals are in loving foster homes, not in a facility. We are a 100% all-volunteer run organization with no paid employees. Every dollar we receive from donations and adoptions goes directly to support the animals in our care.
